The Bach 190 Stradivarius trumpet provides players the long-awaited successor to the classic Vindabona Bach trumpets. In cooperation with top trumpet artists, Bach’s original design has been taken to the next level of performance. The MLV bore design increases from .448 to .459" to balance the larger taper #72 Bach bell and provide the performer a nearly unlimited breadth of sound with the agility of a smaller bore instrument. The two-piece .459" bore valve chassis features nickel balusters, nickel outer valve slides and brass valve guides for a solid central core sound. The standard weight, one-piece #72 bell has a side seam and a round steel wire bell bead that is slightly heavier than other 190 series Strad trumpets. This additional weight gives a richer quality to the core sound while allowing the player to push the sound without fear of tone distortion. The lightweight nickel silver #44 leadpipe combined with the step bore design of this 72V trumpet helps to create a conical front end to the instrument similar in characteristics to a cornet, but with response of a brilliant and vibrant sound of the cylindrical medium-bore trumpet. This lightweight leadpipe allows for agility while the nickel silver keeps the sound warm and focused.
